Appendix 3: Approach for Calculating 2024/25 Funding Contribution
Total Funds sought for 2024/25 = £197,480
Greater Brighton Business Partnership (GBBP):
· Due to their being largely local authority funded, no contributions will be sought from the Brighton & Hove Economic Partnership and the Adur & Worthing Business Partnership.
· All remaining Business Partnership members will be charged a ‘flat fee’ of £7,970 which is the same as in 2023/24.
· The total funds sight from GBBP partners is lower than in 2023/24 as Coast-to-Capital are no longer a member.
Total funds sought from GBBP = £31,880
Greater Brighton Economic Joint Committee:
· The contributions sought from the unitary, district and borough councils for 2024/25 total £165,600, the same as for 2023/24.
· Amounts requested from each local authority have been apportioned in relation to the size of their working age populations and are calculated based on the demographic figures from the 2022 ONS estimates. Please see table below and the latest Business and Demographic Overview overleaf
